Are you worried that if you close the browser window while knitting diligently with the viewer, all your row progress will be lost? By clicking the [My Library π] button in the top right corner of the studio, you can securely manage your progress through the library feature.
1. How Auto-Save Works
This studio does not require any sign-up or login. When a user uploads an image and generates a chart, the chart's data and your current 'Row' position are automatically saved in real-time to your device's browser internal storage (Local Storage).
Therefore, even if you accidentally close the window midway, when you revisit the site and open [My Library], your previously working chart will still be there, and you can instantly load it into the viewer with a single click.
2. Backup and Import (Transferring Between Devices)
What should you do if you knit on your smartphone and want to continue on a wider tablet or PC screen when you get home? You can use the [Backup] and [Import] features at the top of the library.
- Backup: Pressing this button downloads all chart information and progress (row numbers) currently in your library as a backup file with a
.twinextension to your device. - Import: After transferring the downloaded backup file to another device via email, messenger, or cloud, access the studio on the new device, click the [Import] button, and select the file. Your previous progress will be perfectly restored.
If you regularly clear your browser cache, we strongly recommend periodically clicking [Backup] to save the file in a safe folder, especially for long-term projects, to prepare for any unforeseen circumstances.
3. Managing Library Charts (Rename / Download / Delete)
Each chart saved in the library can be individually managed using the buttons on the right side of the list.
- Rename: By clicking the [Rename] button, you can change the name of the project (chart) whenever you want.
- Download Chart: By clicking the [Download Chart] button, you can save the front or back grid chart of the specific project as an image file on your device.
- Delete: For charts that are completed or no longer needed, you can safely remove them from the library by clicking the [Delete] button.
Handling Duplicate Charts (During Import)
When you [Import] a backup file, if a chart with the identical name and size already exists in the current library, the studio detects the duplicate and prompts you with the following choices:
- Overwrite All: Ignores the progress in the existing library and completely overwrites it with the row information contained in the backup file.
- Skip Duplicates: Skips the overlapping charts in the backup file and only imports the new charts that do not exist in the library.
